About James

Company director James Philpot began his career as a trainee designer with English Architectural Glazing where, over the first three years, he worked his way up to Design Engineer level. Focussing on producing general arrangment drawings and fabrication drawings for various projects and utilising various glazing and cladding systems, James was quickly progressing as a designer within the building envelope and facades industry. By the end of his third year as an apprentice James was running projects competently and profitably and still further increasing his knowledge in systems within the industry.

Following a brief spell with OAG based in High Wycombe, James returned to English Architectural Glazing to further his career. After only six months James was promoted to the role of Senior Design Engineer where he spent a further four years running a series of high profile projects, project design teams and liaising with sub contractors, architects and principle contractors all in order to provide a quality and sustainable project.

Away from the office James enjoys participating in many hobbies and activities including running, yoga, reading, photography and playing guitar as well as learning French and Spanish. James also enjoys travelling and will often be found planning and researching his next trip.
